Introduction
A national stage for young culinary talent
IIHM Young Chef India 2026 is a national culinary competition designed to identify India's young culinary talent and create a pathway towards the IIHM Young Chef Olympiad 2027.
Participants move through creative and practical culinary challenges testing originality, recipe development, nutritional understanding, technical skills, ingredient use, hygiene, taste, presentation and time management.

Round 1
Preliminary Round
An innovative Pan-Indian main course for two, submitted with recipe, photographs and a 2-minute video. The best 40 entries progress.
Round 2
Regional / Qualifier Round
A 90-minute practical competition at IIHM campuses. The best 8 competitors progress.
Round 3
Grand Finale
Knife Skills, then a whole 1.2 KG round fish and a mystery basket challenge.
